Madeline recently joined Taylor Shaw’s Dispute Resolution and Litigation Team as a Solicitor after graduating from the University of Canterbury in 2021.

Madeline works on a wide range of legal issues as part of the litigation team but has particular interest in relationship property disputes, employment law, and education matters.

Madeline has volunteered as a caseworker at Community Law Canterbury since 2020, which has provided her with the opportunity to assist clients through a diverse range of legal issues. 

Recent work includes:

• Appeared in the District Court as junior counsel in a defended summary judgment hearing regarding enforcement of a personal guarantee connected to a commercial lease.
• Assisted an employee through the mediation process and helped him successfully resolve the employment dispute.
